Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you purchase a report, we collect the email address you provide and the search input you enter (a UniProt ID, rsID, compound/gene name, or research topic). We do not collect your name, physical address, or any payment card details — payment is handled entirely by PayPal, and we never see or store your card or bank information.

How we use it

We use your email address to send you a link to your completed report and, if you request one, a refund confirmation. We use your search input to generate the report you purchased and store it so you can access it again later from the same link.

Who we share it with

Generating a report requires sending your search input to a small number of service providers, each only for the purpose described:

• PayPal — to process your payment. PayPal handles your card/bank details directly; we only receive confirmation that payment succeeded.
• Google (Gemini API) — to generate the written summary in your report. Report requests are processed on Google's paid API tier, which Google states is not used to train its models.
• Resend — to email you when your report is ready.
• Google Cloud / Firebase — to host this site and store your report data and generated PDF.
• Public scientific databases (AlphaFold, UniProt, PubMed, dbSNP, ClinVar, gnomAD, PubChem, ChEMBL, Open Targets, OpenAlex) — your search input (e.g. a UniProt ID or compound name) is sent to these public APIs to retrieve the source data for your report. We do not send your email address to any of these.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics on this site.

How long we keep it

We keep your report and the email address associated with it so you can continue to access your purchase. If you'd like your data deleted, contact us at the email below and we will remove it, except where we're required to keep payment records for legal or accounting purposes.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us at the email below. If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, you have these rights under the GDPR; if you are a California resident, you have similar rights under the CCPA.

Children's privacy

This service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
